Henry Estates is located in the Umpqua Valley, in Southern Oregon. The Henry’s were one of the first vineyards in Southern Oregon producing wines, and are very well known for their wines in Oregon, as well as the rest of the world.
This wine is a fuller, more complex Pinot Noir. With more structure and tannins, this wine will cellar well for many years. It’s aromas of cherry with earthy notes surround the senses, rich ripe fruit with spicy nuances leads to a structured mid palate and long round finish. It is a delightful Pinot Noir, that I find can stand on it’s own, or will pair extremely well with sharp cheeses, beef, lamb, salmon, swordfish, duck, pate, spicy food and of course, chocolate.
