  • 2008 Vitae Springs Vineyard Riesling

Crafted in traditional “Old World Style” this Riesling has aromas of lemon blossoms, citrus blossoms and gardenia flowers, and a fresh baked lemon meringue pie flovor. On the palate, flavours of light honey, leading to a long and lasting finish of fresh figs and apricots.

The wines produced by this wonderful, small, family estate, are from 30 year old vines, planted by a 1st generation family, and now being managed by the 2nd generation. The Gruner Veltliner is being made from the oldest Gruner Veltliner vines in the state of Oregon, and I suspect the country. With small production of only 1000 cases, any delay in tasting the “fruits” of this vineyards labor, will be costly to your palate.
